Hello, I’m Maame Ekua Otenewa Oduro, SRC Vice President (GSL UPSA Campus)
“Lead with your heart, serve with purpose, and never leave things the way you found them.” That’s The Otenewa Way - a guiding principle that shapes how I approach leadership and everyday life.
I am a Part II student at the Ghana School of Law and a proud alumna of the University of Ghana, where I earned my Bachelor of Laws degree in 2024.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in various leadership roles. I have served as Hall President for the National Union of Presbyterian Students’ Ghana, a member of the Law Students’ Union Judicial Board at the University of Ghana, a mooter representing the University of Ghana in local and international competitions, and a Course Representative during my first year at the Ghana School of Law. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that leadership is primarily about people and the impact you create in their lives. Today, as SRC Vice President, I am honored to extend that service to a wider community, advocating for stronger academic support, and a more inclusive student experience.
Outside law school, I serve as an Ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals, moderate events, mentor peers, and serve as a host for a podcast that explores leadership, purpose, and personal growth. In quiet moments, I like to write, reflecting on governance and policy and how they intersect with service. Beyond being a catchphrase, The Otenewa Way is a commitment to lead with empathy, to serve excellently, and to leave every space better than I found it!
